Caring and skilled employees mean better patient care and customer service for you! Certified and experienced veterinary technicians perform precise laboratory work, minor procedures, meticulous dental prophylaxis, and assist with the careful administration and monitoring of anesthesia. Qualified assistants to the doctors and technicians are our patient advocates. They provide the follow through on each visit so that your pet is reassured and comforted from the moment he arrives until the moment he leaves. Polite and knowledgeable receptionists and management field your calls, schedule your appointments and guide your check in and check out so that your experience at the Animal Doctor is smooth and meets every expectation!  This staff is involved in the production of our all natural treats and natural insect repellant. The Animal Doctor staff has a lot of heart and aims to please. Your pet could not be in better hands!

Clinic Pets

Did you know that your purchases continue to help resident pets to exist?!

Hundreds of pets would have been euthanized if Dr. Jodie had not intervened. Some were strays and brought in to the clinic for help.  Others were difficult cases with guardians who felt unable to deal any longer with the situation and relinquished ownership.  Many were "fixed up" and placed in new homes.  Some were adopted by compassionate employees.  Dr. Jodie has kept a "few."  Unfortunately, some have been unadoptable due to their chronic disorders, so they live with us permanently.  Others are still hoping to go home to a real bed.

Here are some of their stories:

Mork

Mork was on “death row” at the old Milwaukee Humane Society when he was rescued. He has had two cancerous tumors removed. He had spondylosis. He ate raw diet and was on a lot of supplements. He was Dr. Jodie's big boy for thirteen years. He was the best ball fetcher ever.  He went swimming in an indoor pool and he was the kitty police in Dr. Jodie's house and at the clinic. He died suddenly due to the rupturing of an internal tumor on Feb. 8, 2012. Dr. Jodie misses him terribly.

 snoopysmaller

Snoopy

Snoopy was presented for euthanasia due to serious allergies. He used to scratch his face raw. He wore an e-collar for three years. He eats raw and is on a lot of supplements. Last summer he developed cataracts and had surgery and now he can see again. He has been Dr. Jodie's special boy for over a decade.

Philosophy

To benefit from our time together and best promote a high quality of life for your pet companion, it is important that you understand our holistic approach to your pet companion's wellness. We believe the best health comes from the integration of western medicine and eastern health practices.  This is why we offer so many modalities all in one complex.

We are proud to be quite unlike any other veterinary practice!

The health of your pet's mind, body and spirit is influenced by your wellbeing, the health of your pet's environment (external forces including hygiene and nutrition), and genetics. I believe the six most important factors a guardian must provide to achieve maximal quality and longevity of life for his/her pet companion are: unconditional love, safety, exemplary nutrition, abundant exercise, training, and the wellbeing of the guardian's self. Remember, it is difficult for a caregiver to give if he/she is not whole. I encourage you to look at and into yourself during this nurturing process. What can you do to support the health of your mind, body, and spirit?
