I know a lot of people who use laser pointers as toys for their cats. The cats seem to really enjoy chasing them but I have heard a lot of negative things about using them. I was thinking about getting one for my cat but don’t want anything to harm him. Are they good toys for cats as long as they are not pointed at the eyes?

I think they're OK. I have not seen any issues in cats due to them. Not a good choice for Border collies, who become intensely, obsessive about them.
