Client Service (CS)

 Every time you call or your pet visits, receptionists and assistants must record the interaction in the computer.
The CS covers facility and staffing overhead.

The CS is included in the following price:


 New Client Physical Examination/Consultation $125.00

Charged per pet.
It also compensates doctor's time, education, and decision making.
It does not include blood work, urinalysis, etc.
Payment is due at time of services.
A new client visit usually takes 60-90 minutes.
Please bring a fresh stool sample and all past records to the appointment.
Please allow additional time in case we're running behind.
We prioritize based on patient needs.
Additional diagnostics may require as long as three hours.

 

 Physical Examination/Consultation $71.50

Charged per pet.
It compensates doctor's time, education, and decision making.
Payment is due at time of services.
A physical exam/consult usually takes 30-45 minutes.
Please bring a fresh stool sample and all past records to the appointment.
Please allow additional time in case we're running behind.
An exam is required within 1 month or at the time of a vaccination with the exception of the intranasal bordatella, which can be given any time within the year of a current wellness exam.

 

Brief or Recheck Exam/Consultation $36.50

Pet needs to have seen a doctor for a full exam within 1 month.

 

Wellness Exam/Consultation $51.50

Annual Check-up, No Illness

 

Urgent Care Fee $25.00

An appointment that is scheduled the same day, that needs to be fit in around other previously scheduled appointments, will be charged an urgent care fee.

 

Lab Handling Fee $13.50

Charged with lab tests to compensate for time involved with inventory, sample collection, preparation, submission, electronic recording and messaging.

 

Acupuncture Initial Plan/Treatment $75.00

Follow-up Treatment $55.00

Treatment may include dry needles, aqua or electro as deemed appropriate to patient's needs.
There will be an extra charge for homeopathic injections.

 

TCVM DX $35.00

(Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medical Diagnosis)

Compensates doctor's time involved with tongue and pulse diagnosis, evaluating pet's constitution and selecting appropriate herbal formulations based on hundreds of hours of out of state continuing education.
This does not include the herb.
(Included in initial/acupuncture fee)

Laser Therapy

May be prescribed by the doctor at a visit and implemented by a veterinary assistant. A session is $30.00 for the first site and $10.00 for each additional site. For initial treatment two sessions are scheduled during the first week, usually twqo sessions the second week, and then the sessions are spread one week apart. Most conditions benefit greatly from six sessions. Some conditions require monthly maintenance.

 

When is an exam required?

A physical exam is performed to assess the wellness of your pet.
It should be performed annually in a younger pet and more frequently in elderly or ill pets.
If an abnormality is found, a vaccination should not be given.
